Every portrait experience is designed individually, beginning with a conversation and ending with finished artwork you have chosen deliberately.
The experience is not built around a fixed list of poses.
It is built around attention: understanding what has brought you here, noticing how you carry yourself, deciding what the portraits need to communicate and creating enough time for something genuine to emerge.
You do not need to know what to wear, how to pose or which collection you will ultimately choose. Each decision is made at the point when it becomes useful.
STEP 1 — The discovery conversation
Before we discuss what the portraits should look like, I want to understand why they matter.
We meet privately on Zoom for approximately 45–60 minutes. We talk about what prompted you to enquire, how you normally feel in photographs, what you would like the finished work to express and anything that makes you apprehensive.
I explain how I work and the investment clearly. The conversation is not a sales presentation. It gives both of us enough understanding to decide whether the commission is the right fit.
STEP 2 — Commission and portrait design
Once the commission begins, your words become visual direction.
We plan wardrobe, colour, texture, backdrop, light and the different qualities we want to explore. You may be asked to send simple mobile photographs of clothing you already own, and I will narrow the possibilities into clear recommendations.
Where it serves the work, I create a concise mood board. The purpose is direction, not imitation. You do not need to buy an entirely new wardrobe or arrive with a fully formed creative concept.
STEP 3 — The portrait day
We allow approximately half a day. There is time to arrive, settle, talk, change wardrobe, pause and move between visual directions without treating the experience as a race against the clock.
I guide posture, hands, expression and movement throughout. The direction is precise, but the purpose is not to make you look posed. It is to take away the uncertainty that prevents you from being present.
We usually explore up to three connected visual chapters. At the end, we look briefly at a small number of strong frames together, so you do not leave wondering whether the work succeeded.

STEP 4 — Curation and reveal
You choose from the strongest work—not from hundreds of unfinished files.
After the portrait day, I carefully curate approximately 20–25 proofs. We meet again, privately, to view them and select the portraits that will be fully finished.
Your commission includes five portraits. If the work belongs together as a larger story, you may upgrade to the ten-portrait folio by paying the £500 difference. There is no requirement to do so, and choosing five does not make the experience incomplete.
STEP 5 — Finishing and artwork
The portraits are completed only after you choose them.
Your selected portraits are professionally retouched with care for skin, texture and character. The aim is refinement without removing the evidence of a real woman.
Each finished portrait is supplied as a high-resolution digital file and a corresponding matted print. The ten-portrait commission is presented in a handcrafted folio box. Statement wall artwork can be considered after you have seen the photographs and know which image, if any, you want to live with at scale.
STEP 6 — Hair and makeup
Professional hair and makeup is not included in the commission. You will receive preparation guidance and arrive camera-ready, preserving the private one-to-one nature of the experience.

Commissions begin at £795 and include the complete experience with five fully finished portraits, five corresponding digital files and five matted prints.
The £1,295 Portrait Story includes ten finished portraits, ten corresponding digital files and a handcrafted ten-print folio collection.
You may begin with the five-portrait commission and decide at your private reveal whether the larger collection is right for you.
